Child Care & Protection Programme

Programme Overview

The Child Care & Protection Programme aims to safeguard the rights and wellbeing of children at risk, guided by the Best Interest of the Child principle and aligned with Caritas Internationalis values of dignity, solidarity, justice, and compassion.
The programme provides integrated protection, care, and rehabilitation services for vulnerable children, while strengthening families, empowering caregivers, and working in close coordination with governmental bodies and civil society organizations.

Children live in safety and dignity, enjoy their full rights, and grow within a supportive environment that enables their holistic development and active participation in society.
Mission
To deliver high-quality child protection, care, and rehabilitation services that respond to the needs of children at risk, in partnership with families, communities, and relevant stakeholders.

Target Groups

  • Girls and boys from the age of 2 up to 18 years, in accordance with Egyptian Child Law.
  • Children living in poverty and vulnerable conditions.
  • Street-connected children (6–18 years).
  • Children exposed to violence, abuse, neglect, or exploitation within their families.
  • Families of children at risk, particularly mothers.
