Lending and Economic Empowerment Program

Program Overview

When income becomes unstable, the impact goes beyond a household’s ability to cover its expenses. It also affects its ability to plan for the future, provide for its children, and cope with unexpected economic challenges. Economic empowerment begins by creating a genuine opportunity to work, produce, and build a more sustainable source of income.

The program provides accessible financing for small and micro-enterprises, alongside training, entrepreneurship support, business management, and marketing. It serves household breadwinners aged 18 to 65, particularly women who support their families, in poor, rural, and marginalized communities.

Lending and Economic Empowerment Project

From Opportunity to Sustainable Capacity

The program’s impact does not end when beneficiaries receive financing; it begins there. Every financing opportunity is linked to building the capacity to manage and make effective use of it. Caritas works with partner civil society organizations, local institutions, and relevant government entities so target groups can access services and move toward formalizing their economic activities.

Help Create a New Opportunity

Supporting children without a stable income, having a trade but lacking the resources to start, or carrying a business idea without capital can leave the future uncertain. You can help make a genuine opportunity possible through your time, expertise, or support.
